Planning an event-week stay
Choose the dates first. Then work out the details.
The individual guides handle the quirks of each weekend. These three rules are the ones that carry across the calendar.
Use the organizer for the final schedule
Our guides help with the trip around the event. The official organizer remains the source for last-minute venue, ticket and timing changes.
Check the trip in both directions
Transportation changes with the season. Confirm how you are getting home before you lock in nonrefundable plans.
Most central events are walkable
Commercial Street, Town Hall, restaurants and many event venues are concentrated in the center. Our parking guide covers the options we use when driving.
Staying on Commercial Street
In the middle of town, with a place to step away from it.
Ptown Perch is at 220 Commercial Street, directly across from The Canteen. That puts restaurants, galleries, nightlife and many central event venues within an easy walk.
When you want a break, head upstairs, close the door on Commercial Street and settle into the apartment. For beaches and farther-out destinations, a bike, shuttle, car or ride can still be useful.

What Provincetown events take place in November 2026?
November includes the Food & Wine Festival, New England Leather Weekend, the Pilgrim Monument lighting, Thanksgiving Weekend and the Lobster Pot Tree lighting. The Canteen Holiday Market also begins in November.
What Provincetown events take place in December 2026?
December includes Holly Folly, Christmas, the Canteen Holiday Market and First Light from December 31, 2026 through January 3, 2027.
Do I need a car for Provincetown event weekends?
Not for most events in central Provincetown. Many venues, restaurants and shops are concentrated along or near Commercial Street. A car is more useful for getting to town and for destinations outside the center.
Where should I start if I do not know which event I want?
