Planning a theme-week stay
Major event dates are often confirmed before the complete schedule. You can secure the broad shape of the trip without pretending every venue and time is already settled.
Some weekends lean toward nightlife, while others combine performances, workshops, literary programs, sports and daytime community events.
Fall ferry frequency and seasonal service can change. Confirm the trip in both directions before buying nonrefundable tickets.

Why location matters
Many major events, venues, restaurants and late-night stops are concentrated along or near Commercial Street.
Ptown Perch is at 220 Commercial Street in the walkable center. You can return to the apartment between plans and use a bike, shuttle, car or ride only when the beaches or outer parts of town call for it.

The four major gatherings are Mates Leather Weekend from October 1 through 5, Women’s Week from October 12 through 18 with related events beginning October 9, TransWeek from October 18 through 25, and Halloween and Spooky Bear Weekend from October 29 through November 1.
Provincetown Women’s Week runs October 12 through 18, 2026. The official Women’s Week site says related events begin Friday, October 9.
TransWeek Provincetown runs Sunday, October 18 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event was formerly known as Fantasia Fair.
Not for most events in central Provincetown. Many venues, restaurants and shops are concentrated along or near Commercial Street. A car, bike, shuttle or ride can be useful for beaches and destinations outside the center.
Reserve once your dates are firm if a specific property or location matters to you. Theme weeks can tighten lodging and dining availability, but final event schedules may appear later, so confirm time-sensitive details before purchasing nonrefundable travel.
