What Women’s Week is actually like
Women’s Week is a town-wide schedule made up of individual performances, social events, literary programming, activities and community gatherings. The exact 2026 lineup is not yet confirmed, but the official 2025 schedule is useful for understanding the range and rhythm of the week.
The 2025 schedule included comedy and performance sets from names such as Judy Gold, Lea DeLaria, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Poppy Champlin and Suede, alongside many other performers. Those are prior-year examples, not confirmed 2026 bookings.
In 2025, Town Hall hosted major Women’s Week programming including the Community Dinner and Performers Showcase, Lesbo Bingo, the Women’s Week Book Fair and other headline events.
Literary programming is a meaningful part of the week. The official history describes a lesbian literary festival within Women’s Week, and the 2025 schedule included a book fair, author panels, readings and meet-and-greets.
The 2025 lineup included daily Singles Mingle meet-ups, a Solid Gold Tea Dance, sing-alongs, karaoke and a Dyke Dance Party. Some were free; others required tickets or a cover.
Prior schedules have mixed entertainment with daytime activities. In 2025 that included yoga and sound baths, pickleball, whale watching, a sunset sail and other ways to spend time outside the performance venues.
Women’s Week Headquarters operated on Commercial Street in 2025, and Womencrafts appeared throughout the schedule as a gathering place and event location. Womencrafts is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026.
The examples above are drawn from the official 2025 schedule to show how Women’s Week has been structured. They should not be read as confirmed 2026 events.
How the schedule works
In 2025, Women’s Week Headquarters at 256 Commercial Street distributed the printed program, answered questions and sold official merchandise. The 2026 headquarters location has not yet been announced.
The 2025 schedule listed a Women’s Week Town Hall box office for pre-purchased tickets and Town Hall events. That matters because not every ticketed event was handled in the same place.
Some 2025 events were free, while performances, dinners, sails and other activities used their own ticket links or covers. Read each listing rather than assuming one ticket unlocks the whole week.
The 2025 Community Dinner sold out, and the official schedule warned that Lesbo Bingo would sell out. Once 2026 tickets appear, book the few events you care about most before filling the rest of your itinerary.

Women’s Week geography
The 2026 venue list is not yet published. The 2025 schedule, however, shows why a central location is useful: many recurring venues were on the same walkable Commercial Street corridor, with additional events at MacMillan Pier, Bradford Street and other locations.
2025 locations included Town Hall at 260 Commercial, Crown & Anchor at 247, Red Room at 258, Waters Edge Cinema at 237 and Post Office Cabaret at 303.
The 2025 schedule also used Boatslip at 161 Commercial, Womencrafts at 376 and Harbor Lounge at 359, among other businesses and event spaces.
Other 2025 events appeared at MacMillan Pier, Provincetown Commons at 46 Bradford Street, Jerome Smith Courts and additional locations beyond Commercial Street.
Ptown Perch is at 220 Commercial Street, on the same central corridor as many venues used in the 2025 schedule. That does not guarantee the same venue pattern for 2026, but it explains why we value a walkable home base for this particular week.
Where to stay for Women’s Week
If the 2026 schedule resembles prior years, a central stay can reduce the number of times you need to think about transportation between shows, meals, meet-ups and errands.
Ptown Perch is a private one-bedroom condo at 220 Commercial Street for up to four registered guests. It has a California king bed, queen sleeper sofa, full kitchen, in-unit laundry and an exclusive private garden. The front of the condo looks onto Commercial Street; the garden gives you a separate place to reset between plans.
The tradeoffs are equally important: there is no dedicated parking, and access requires a long exterior staircase. Review the location and walkability and full property FAQ before deciding whether the setup fits your trip.
Getting here in October
Bay State Cruises currently lists daily 2026 fast-ferry service between Boston and Provincetown through Sunday, October 18, the final official day of Women’s Week. Check the 2026 Bay State schedule before purchasing.
If you plan to sleep in Provincetown on Sunday, October 18 and leave Monday, October 19, do not assume a Bay State ferry will be available. Its currently published daily schedule ends October 18; late-fall weekend service resumes Friday, October 23.
Ptown Perch has no dedicated parking. The Town currently lists Grace Hall at Prince and Bradford streets as open 24 hours, with a 2026 rate of $3 per hour and a $30 maximum in 24 hours. Availability is never guaranteed. Check the Town parking page for current rules.
MacMillan Pier, central Commercial Street, Town Hall, restaurants, galleries and nightlife are concentrated in the walkable center. Beaches and the Province Lands usually require a bike, shuttle, car or ride.
