What is TransWeek, formerly Fantasia Fair?
First held in Provincetown in 1975, TransWeek describes itself as the world’s longest-running transgender event. It combines education, social connection, meals and entertainment in a town-wide format rather than a single convention hotel.
Everyone is welcome
The organizers welcome transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse people along with spouses, partners, family members, allies and friends. Newcomer and partner-focused programming is part of the event’s established format.

Common Threads
Workshops continue. Common Threads: 8–10 p.m., Paramount; doors at 7:15 p.m. Participants should check signup and rehearsal requirements.

After daytime sessions, Open Mic runs 8–10 p.m. in Crown & Anchor’s Cabaret; doors at 7:15 p.m.

The Follies
The Follies run 8–10 p.m. at Paramount; doors at 7 p.m. Performers should follow the rehearsal schedule.
SAT 24
Gala Awards Banquet
Workshops and the final keynote lead into the Gala Awards Banquet, 6:30–10 p.m. at Paramount.
SUN 25
Farewell breakfast
Breakfast: 7:30–11 a.m., Bay Cafe. The schedule also lists worship at the UU Meeting House, 11 a.m.–noon.

Check rates and cancellation terms
TransWeek prices change by deadline and attendee type. Regular rates run through September 30; the organizer’s table leaves later walk-in prices to be confirmed. Review the live total, meal choices and cancellation terms before paying. The published policy says there are no refunds after September 15 and describes a transfer-to-next-year option.

FIRST HALF
October 18–22 gives you four nights
This option includes the Sunday opening events, Monday welcome dinner, Tuesday Comic Bingo and Wednesday Common Threads, while satisfying Perch’s three-night October minimum. Match your registration package to the events you plan to attend.
SECOND HALF
October 22–25 gives you three nights
This three-night option positions you for Thursday Open Mic, Friday Follies, Saturday’s banquet and Sunday breakfast while meeting Perch’s October minimum. These are lodging dates; confirm which events your half-week registration includes.

Choose a central base for a town-wide week.
Ptown Perch is an entire one-bedroom condo at 220 Commercial Street. It puts central event spaces, restaurants and shops within a short walk while giving you a private place to reset.

3–5 min.Boatslip Resort at 161 Commercial Street
Inside are a California king bedroom, queen sleeper sofa, full kitchen, in-unit laundry, fast Wi-Fi and central air. Outside is an unusually large garden reserved exclusively for guests. The Airbnb listing is a Guest Favorite ranked in the top 5% of eligible listings, with a 5.0 rating from 12 reviews.
Walking times are approximate. The 2026 schedule uses Crown & Anchor, Boatslip and other venues around town; the Monday dinner at Provincetown Inn, 1 Commercial Street, is farther west, so plan extra travel time. Ptown Perch has no dedicated parking, and the second-floor apartment requires an exterior staircase.
Getting here in late October
Ferry, flight, bus or car: what works for TransWeek?
Ferry: daily arrival, weekend return
Bay State’s published 2026 schedule offers daily service through October 18 and late-fall weekend service from October 23 through November 15. A Sunday, October 18 arrival and Sunday, October 25 return are both listed; the October 25 boat leaves Provincetown at 3 p.m. There is no listed Thursday, October 22 sailing. City Cruises describes service through mid-October, so check each operator before booking.
Air: check Boston–Provincetown flights
Cape Air lists nonstop flights between Boston Logan and Provincetown. Search your exact arrival and departure dates, check baggage limits and allow time for any onward connection. Build in weather flexibility and confirm your flight before traveling.
Bus or car: verify the live trip
Peter Pan lists a Provincetown stop at Ryder Street. Check the live schedule before booking. If you drive, plan and budget for parking rather than expecting a space at the property.
Parking and access
Know the two practical tradeoffs before reserving.
No dedicated parking
The Town’s 2026 paid parking season runs through November 2. Grace Hall is open 24 hours with 354 spaces and costs $3 per hour up to $30 per 24 hours. Cash is not accepted. We usually recommend Grace Hall, about a three-minute walk from Perch.
Commercial Street restrictions still apply
Parking is prohibited on Commercial Street between Pearl and Central streets through October 31, which includes all TransWeek dates. Use the Town’s live parking page for current rules.
Stairs are required
Ptown Perch is one story above Commercial Street and is reached by an exterior staircase. It is not a suitable choice for guests who require step-free access.

Plan for changing temperatures
October days and evenings can feel very different. Pack pieces that work indoors and outdoors without requiring a full change between every program.
RAIN
Bring real weather protection
The organizer recommends rain gear. A compact umbrella and water-resistant outer layer are useful when programs are spread across town.
WALK
Prioritize comfortable footwear
TransWeek is town-wide, and Commercial Street can be uneven. Bring shoes you can comfortably wear between venues and a reusable water bottle.
