First, the date question
When is the Provincetown Food & Wine Festival in 2026?
Provincetown Food & Wine Festival programming runs Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8, 2026. The organizer’s current program begins with a wine-pairing dinner at Ciro & Sal’s, followed by Friday’s Gallery Sip & Stroll and Saturday’s Grand Tasting.
Use November 5–8 for a Thursday-to-Sunday festival trip. Earlier destination calendars differed about the opening date; the organizer’s 2026 program now gives us a clearer basis for planning. We have not found a Wednesday event in that program, so a Wednesday arrival would be extra time in town rather than a confirmed festival day.
The Thursday dinner is announced, but its start time, price and reservation details are not yet listed on the organizer’s Thursday page. Confirm those details before choosing an arrival around dinner. Arriving Thursday also means you can enjoy the whole Friday Gallery Stroll without fitting it around the afternoon ferry.
The organizer calls this the sixth annual festival and has named the 2026 theme “Unmistakably Provincetown: Community, Culture & Camp.”

Friday, November 6 · 1–4 p.m.
Gallery Sip & Stroll: the best Friday anchor
The 2026 Gallery Sip & Stroll is free with registration and runs Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The organizer says Mayflower Trolley & Excursions will provide complimentary transportation during the stroll. Register through the festival and review the current admission requirements before attending.
This is the piece of the weekend we would prioritize if you like both art and wine. You can start near the center and work east, or use the trolley to keep the farther galleries from turning the afternoon into a race.

Travel tip: the Friday Bay State ferry from Boston is scheduled to arrive in Provincetown at 2:40 p.m. That is too late for most of the 1–4 p.m. stroll. If Friday’s Gallery Stroll is important to you, arrive Thursday by car, bus or Cape Air instead.
Saturday, November 7 · 1–4 p.m.
The Grand Tasting at Provincetown Town Hall
The festival’s marquee tasting is Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Provincetown Town Hall. The organizer says more than 300 wines will be represented by vendors, suppliers, distributors, winemakers and winery ambassadors.
The official Saturday page currently says food will be available from Relish Sandwich Shop, and admission includes a commemorative etched wine glass. It also lists a short Outer Cape Chorale & Chamber Singers performance during the tasting.
The festival’s Saturday page lists the Grand Tasting at $90. Follow its official ticket link for the current total, any checkout charges and remaining availability. A published event price is a useful starting point for budgeting; the checkout total is the amount to rely on before buying.
TicketLeap identifies the Grand Tasting as 21 and over. If the tasting is your must-do event, buy through the organizer’s link rather than waiting until you arrive in town.
What else is announced
Build your weekend around the events you most want to attend
Thursday: start with dinner at Ciro & Sal’s
The Thursday program now includes a wine-pairing dinner at Ciro & Sal’s. It gives a November 5 arrival an evening to plan around, once the restaurant or organizer confirms the time, menu, price and booking process. Until then, leave your first evening flexible rather than booking transport against an assumed dinner time.
Friday announcements
Friday offers more than you can comfortably do in one afternoon. The Friday page identifies Ocean 193 for the PPRTA Wine Social and lists Liz’s Cafe for a wine-pairing dinner, with its price still TBD. Check eligibility for the PPRTA tasting because the overview describes it as a member event.
- 3–5 p.m.: PPRTA member wine tasting.
- 3:30–5:30 p.m.: Savor at Harbor Hotel, combining wine, art and small bites.
- 4–6 p.m.: Reserve Wine & Cheese Tasting at 8 Dyer Hotel.
- 4–7 p.m.: Tea Dance at The Boatslip.
- 8 p.m.: Miss Decanter at Post Office Café.
These times come from the organizer’s 2026 overview. We would enjoy the Gallery Stroll, choose one later-afternoon stop and leave breathing room before dinner or the pageant. Confirm Liz’s dinner time before combining it with an 8 p.m. show.
Saturday announcements
The official Saturday page also lists Drag Brunch at Post Office Café, Tea Dance at The Boatslip and a new “More Than a Hint of Leather” event at Gifford House. That event currently shows dessert and wine pairings at 9 p.m. followed by a Purgatory dance party at 10:30 p.m., with more details still coming.
For Saturday, the overview lists Post Office Café brunch at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Boatslip Tea Dance from 4–7 p.m. The 1 p.m. brunch overlaps the Grand Tasting, so choose the experience you want most. The Saturday page gives the Gifford House timings above, while the overview still marks that evening event TBD. Treat those late-night times as provisional until the organizer reconciles the listings.
For a slower weekend, keep just one ticketed event each day and leave the rest for galleries, meals and a walk by the harbor. Our November What’s Open guide and November itinerary can help fill the time around the festival.
Sunday, November 8 · noon–2 p.m.
Pie Fest gives Sunday one last event
The Provincetown Commons has confirmed Pie Fest for Sunday, November 8 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at 46 Bradford Street. The event includes a baking competition, auction, music and pies to share.
The festival now includes the Commons pie competition in its Sunday program, and The Commons publishes its own event listing. Plan it as a separate stop and follow the Commons’ participation guidance; a Grand Tasting ticket does not establish admission or benefits at other events.
If you are taking the Sunday Bay State ferry back to Boston, the published Provincetown departure is 3:00 p.m. Pie Fest ends at 2:00, so allow time to collect your bags and reach the pier. Cape Air’s announced Sunday departure is earlier, at 1:30 p.m., and does not fit a full noon-to-2 p.m. Pie Fest visit.
The festival also lists Sunday brunch at Post Office Café and a final Boatslip Tea Dance from 4–7 p.m. That dance begins after the scheduled ferry and flight departures. If it matters to you, arrange a later road journey or consider Sunday night in town. Confirm Monday transport before extending your stay; neither the late-fall ferry timetable nor the announced Cape Air winter pattern includes a Monday departure.

This weekend still has a ferry
How to get to Provincetown for Food & Wine weekend
Bay State fast ferry
Food & Wine falls inside Bay State’s late-fall ferry season. The published schedule for November 6–8 has a Friday Boston departure at 1:00 p.m., arriving Provincetown at 2:40 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday departures from Boston are at 8:30 a.m., arriving at 10:10 a.m. Provincetown-to-Boston departures are at 3:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The key decision is Friday. If you want the full Gallery Sip & Stroll from 1–4 p.m., do not rely on Friday’s ferry. Arrive Thursday. If the Grand Tasting is your priority, Saturday’s morning ferry gets into town with time before the 1 p.m. event, assuming normal operation.
Cape Air winter service begins November 4
Provincetown Tourism lists winter Cape Air flights beginning November 4, 2026. Boston-to-Provincetown flights are currently scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, with a Sunday Provincetown-to-Boston flight at 1:30 p.m. That makes a Thursday arrival and Sunday departure a useful pattern to check for the festival.
Bus
Peter Pan serves Provincetown at Ryder Street. Use its date-specific search for both directions before booking the stay, especially if you are combining bus and ferry or bus and flight.
Recheck Bay State, Provincetown Tourism’s air-travel page and Peter Pan before departure. Ferry and air travel can be weather-sensitive.
A nice November advantage
Parking is outside Provincetown’s paid season
The Town’s 2026 paid-parking season ends November 2. Food & Wine begins later that week, so Grace Hall is outside the paid season during the festival.
Ptown Perch has no dedicated parking. We usually use Grace Hall at Prince and Bradford Streets, about 0.1 mile from the apartment, then do most of the festival weekend on foot.
The seasonal prohibition on parking along Commercial Street between Pearl and Central Streets ends October 31. From November 1, follow posted signs to see where street parking is permitted. Other restrictions can still apply.
The Town’s parking page is the current source for rules and notices.
Stay close enough to come home between events
Where to stay for the Provincetown Food & Wine Festival
The festival happens across town rather than inside one venue. The Gallery Stroll stretches east along Commercial and Bradford Streets, while the Grand Tasting is at Town Hall. A central home base makes it easier to come back between afternoon and evening plans.
Ptown Perch is our one-bedroom apartment at 220 Commercial Street. Town Hall is at 260 Commercial, Studio Lacombe is at 237, and the rest of the Friday gallery route continues east. That puts the apartment inside the part of town you will already be walking.
- California king in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, for up to four registered guests.
- Full kitchen and dining table for breakfast, takeout or a quieter meal between events.
- Heat, fast Wi-Fi, a standing desk and in-unit laundry.
- Directly across from The Canteen and close to Town Hall and central Commercial Street.
The apartment is reached by an exterior staircase and is not step-free. Commercial Street can be lively, and some street activity may be audible indoors. We provide white-noise machines. Take a look inside and read our practical FAQ.
Live availability stays on Airbnb. We do not describe November 5–8 as open unless Airbnb says it is when you check.
The festival’s own lodging page also lists partner hotel promotions. If a hotel is a better fit for your trip, see the organizer’s current lodging offers. If you want an entire apartment with a kitchen and living room, check Ptown Perch on Airbnb.

About the hosts and how we checked this guide
We’re Frank Fay and Jared Tiller, the hosts of Ptown Perch at 220 Commercial Street. We created this page because the festival schedule changes as November approaches and old schedules are easy to mistake for the current year.
On September 28, we reviewed the festival’s 2026 overview and daily pages, its current Gallery Stroll page, The Commons’ Pie Fest listing, Bay State’s late-fall timetable, Provincetown Tourism’s announced winter flights and the Town parking page. The Grand Tasting ticket listing identifies that event as 21+. Live checkout remains the source for ticket totals and inventory.
Where official destination calendars disagree, we say so. The festival organizer’s live schedule and ticketing should always win for a date, price or event-detail decision.
