The backyard is exclusively yours during the stay, with mature planting, outdoor dining, lounge seating and string lights after dark.
In warmer weather, you might spend the morning here over coffee or bring dinner outside after a day at the beach. During a winter visit, it gives you a little outdoor space of your own whenever you feel like stepping out.

Above Commercial Street
Step outside and you’re on Commercial Street.
From 220 Commercial Street, Unit 3, you can walk to restaurants, galleries, shops and the harbor, with The Canteen directly across the street.
One of the pleasures of staying here is being able to come home between plans, whether to drop off shopping or change before dinner. An exterior staircase leads to the apartment, and you may hear Commercial Street activity or music indoors; we provide white-noise machines for sleeping.
Arriving by car
Parking near Ptown Perch.
Grace Hall is about a three-minute walk from our door, so once you’ve parked, you can settle in and enjoy most of town on foot.
Grace Hall municipal parking
Perch has no dedicated parking, and Grace Hall is the nearby lot we recommend. It’s about 0.1 mile away at Prince and Bradford Streets and is open 24 hours. During the 2026 paid season, May 1 through November 2, the rate is $3 per hour, with a $30 maximum per 24 hours.
Grace Hall parking is free from November 3, 2026, through the rest of the year, including December. The map shows the short walk between the lot and our home at 220 Commercial Street.
Winter parking on Commercial Street
Winter street parking is permitted on Commercial Street directly in front of the house from November 1, after the seasonal ban ends October 31. Follow the posted signs when choosing a space.

You may hear street activity and music from nearby venues, especially on busy weekends. We provide white-noise machines, and the private garden gives you a separate outdoor space behind the apartment.
